Luxury Travel Gift Bags: What Premium Agencies Order
Share
A good travel gift bag is the first thing your client holds before the trip even begins.
The short answer: choose a heavy canvas tote with a small, quiet logo, add a drawstring pouch for documents, and order 4 to 6 weeks before the first departure. With us, that starts at 25 pieces per bag and from €6.51 per pouch.
In this guide I go through which bags to choose, what goes inside, what it costs and how to get the bags to your office on time.

Who orders luxury travel gift bags?
The buyers are usually small teams that plan every detail of a trip.
Think of luxury travel agencies, tailor-made tour operators, destination management companies (DMCs), incentive travel planners and companies that rent out holiday villas. Some send a bag to each client before departure, others hand it over on arrival.
What they have in common is that the bag must match the price of the trip.
A thin promotional tote next to a five-star suite feels wrong, and travellers notice.
That is why this post is about premium bags, not giveaways.
If you want the overview of all our bags for travel businesses first, the page on custom tote bags for luxury travel agencies and incentive trips shows the main options, and the travel and tourism page covers the wider tourism side.
Here I go one step further and talk about the kit itself.
What goes inside a VIP welcome kit?
A welcome kit works best when every item is useful on the trip.
The bag is the frame, and three to five small things fill it. Good things to add are a printed itinerary or welcome card, a document pouch, a local treat, a refillable water bottle and sometimes sunscreen or a silk scarf.
Keep the number of items small.
A full bag of samples feels like a trade fair, while three good things feel like a gift. One rule I always share: everything inside should be something the traveller would pack anyway.
Think about weight as well, because your client has to carry it home.
Heavy glass jars and big books often stay in the hotel room, while a pouch and a canvas tote travel back in the suitcase.
A good kit is light, useful and quiet.
Which bag fits a luxury traveller?
For premium trips, the fabric weight and the finish matter more than anything else.
A 340 or 407 g/m² canvas feels firm in the hand and stands up on a table. Lighter bags of 140 g/m² are great for events, but they do not say "luxury" in the same way, as our guide to cotton bag weights explains.
Two bags work especially well for travel agencies.
The Marina tote in organic canvas has a wooden toggle closure and a deep base, so it works as a beach bag, a city bag and a carry-on extra. The Camden shopper in Fairtrade cotton is smaller and more structured, a good size for a day out in Rome or Copenhagen.
Colour is a choice of mood.
French navy reads as classic and nautical, while natural with black handles looks clean and modern. Both go with almost any logo colour.
If you are not sure, start with the destination and the season of the trip.
34 × 34 × 17 cm with a wooden toggle closure, our favourite for VIP travellers.
28 × 38 × 12 cm, firm canvas with black handles, a smart city bag.
| Trip moment | Bag that fits | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Pre-departure gift sent to the client | Camden shopper | Compact, firm and easy to post |
| Welcome in the suite or villa | Marina tote | Big enough for a towel, water and a book |
| Beach and island trips | Jute beach bag | Natural look that suits the setting |
| Documents and small items | Drawstring pouch S | Keeps passports and tickets together |
A pouch for travel documents
A small pouch can be the most useful item in the whole kit.
Our natural organic cotton drawstring pouch in size S measures 14 × 22 cm, which holds a passport, boarding passes and a hotel key card. It closes with a cord, so nothing slips out in a handbag.
A nice touch is to put the printed itinerary and a welcome card inside the pouch and the pouch inside the bag.
That way the client opens one thing and finds everything in order.
If you need more room, the same pouch comes in size M at 25 × 32 cm, which fits folded A4 documents. Our post on drawstring pouches and drawstring backpacks compares the shapes in more detail.
A pouch with your logo also stays in the suitcase for the next trip.
14 × 22 cm, for passports, tickets and key cards.
Bags for incentive trips and groups
Incentive trips are a different story, because the whole group gets the same kit at once.
An incentive trip is a reward trip a company gives to its best sales people or partners. The whole group travels together, and the bag shows up in every group photo.
Here the quantity changes the price a lot.
At 100 pieces, the Camden shopper costs €7.98 per bag instead of €11.72 at 25 pieces. So a group of 80 can be cheaper per person if you round up to 100 and keep the rest for the next trip.
Some planners want two logos: the company that pays for the trip and the agency that organises it.
That is possible with a two-colour print or full colour, and the price per colour is shown on every product page. If each traveller should get a bag with their own name, write to us first, because that is not a standard option.
For mixed groups, you can also split one order into a few designs, which I explain in can you put different designs in one tote bag order.
Plan the group kit as soon as the guest list is clear.
Beach and resort trips
For island and beach trips, jute often looks more at home than cotton.
Our jute beach bags measure 42 × 35 cm, have cotton handles and come in many colours, including a natural ecru with gold details. The minimum for jute is 50 pieces, so it suits groups and villa companies rather than single clients.
Jute is stiff and keeps its shape, so a one-colour print stays sharp on the front.
Our complete guide to custom jute bags goes through the care and the print options.
For a beach welcome, I like jute with a towel, sunscreen and a cold drink inside.
42 × 35 cm with cotton handles and gold details.
Quiet branding: print or embroidery?
Luxury clients rarely want a big logo on their shoulder.
The bags that get used again carry a small mark, often in one colour and placed low or near the handle. Tone-on-tone works well too, for example a light print on natural canvas or a navy print on French navy.
A good test: would your client carry the bag on holiday if they did not know you?
If the answer is yes, the logo is the right size. Our post on what premium really means in tote bags has more ideas for a quiet look.
Embroidery adds a raised, stitched finish that many travel brands like.
It is possible on many bags, usually from 50 pieces, and we quote it separately. The differences in look, price and lead time are in embroidery or print for corporate bags.
For most agencies, a neat one-colour print does the job beautifully.
Organic, Fairtrade or natural cotton?
More and more travellers ask where their things come from, and a bag is an easy place to show it.
Organic cotton is grown without synthetic pesticides and fertilisers. The best-known standard for organic textiles is GOTS, the Global Organic Textile Standard, and you can ask us which certificate a specific bag carries.
Fairtrade cotton is about the farmers: they get a minimum price and an extra premium for their community.
You can read how it works on the Fairtrade website. Our Camden shopper is made from Fairtrade cotton.
Natural cotton without a label is the most affordable choice and still a strong, reusable bag.
For sustainable travel brands, organic or Fairtrade gives you one more true sentence for your welcome card.
What luxury travel gift bags cost
Here are today's prices for the four products in this post, all with a one-colour print and without VAT.
| Product | 25 pcs | 50 pcs | 100 pcs | 200 pcs |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Marina tote, French navy | €12.70 | €11.17 | €9.58 | €8.79 |
| Camden shopper, natural/black | €11.72 | €9.90 | €7.98 | €7.05 |
| Drawstring pouch S | €6.51 | €4.99 | €3.39 | €2.61 |
| Jute beach bag, ecru/gold | from 50 pcs | €8.88 | €7.88 | €7.58 |
Two examples make it easier to plan.
Both use the 50 and 100 piece prices from the table above, so you can see how the price per guest drops with the group size.
A VIP kit for 50 travellers with a Marina tote and a pouch costs €11.17 + €4.99 = €16.16 per guest, or €808.00 in total. A group kit for 100 people with a Camden shopper and a pouch costs €7.98 + €3.39 = €11.37 per guest, or €1,137.00.
Delivery within the EU is included, and there are no setup fees.
Prices change from time to time, so always check the product page for the exact price of your order. Our guest welcome bags for hotels post has more examples for kits handed out on arrival.
For most agencies, the bag costs less than one welcome dinner.
Timing and delivery
Timing is the part where travel gifts go wrong most often.
Production takes 10 to 15 working days from the moment you approve the digital proof. Add a few days for your own approval and a buffer for the shipment, and you land at 4 to 6 weeks before the first departure.
We deliver within the EU, to your office, a hotel or a villa.
For trips outside the EU, we deliver the bags to your EU office and you take them with the group or send them on yourself. If you need the bags on a fixed date, add it in the date box in the cart and we will tell you right away if it is tight.
For a season of trips, it often makes sense to order once for several departures.
One order means one proof, one production run and a better price per bag.
A real example from a villa company
This summer we printed bags for a company that rents out holiday villas in the Seychelles.
They chose 50 natural ecru and gold jute beach bags with their logo in full colour, as a gift for their guests.
What I liked about their choice is how well the bag fits the place.
A natural jute bag with a small colourful logo looks like part of the holiday, not like advertising. It is a bag a guest can use on the beach and then take home.
That is exactly what you want from a travel gift.
Mistakes to avoid with travel gift bags
Most problems with travel gifts are small, and all of them are easy to avoid.
I see the same few come back again and again, so here they are in one place.
- Ordering too late. The trip date does not move, so a late proof means a stressful week for everyone.
- A logo that is too big. A large print turns a gift into an advert, and the bag stays in the hotel room.
- Too many items inside. Five good things beat fifteen samples, and the bag must still close.
- The wrong size for the trip. A small shopper is perfect for a city break, while a beach week needs room for a towel.
- Forgetting the season. Dark navy and black feel right in autumn and winter, and natural or ecru suits summer trips.
One more tip: order a few extra bags.
Late bookings, a guide who joins the group or a client who wants a second bag for a partner are common on premium trips. Five or ten spare bags cost little and save you from a reorder for just two pieces.
Plan a little extra, and the kit will feel effortless on the day.
How to order
Ordering takes a few minutes on the product page.
- Choose the bag, the quantity and the number of print colours.
- Upload your logo as a PDF, AI, EPS, SVG or PNG file.
- Add your delivery date in the cart if the bags must arrive by a certain day.
- Approve the digital proof we send you, and production starts.
If you want a quote for a full kit or embroidery, write to us and we will put it together.
